This is a family that first appears in Greene Co., Georgia, after the Civil War. It has remained a small family that is still located in north Georgia. It is poorly documented, and needs far more research. The information here is just a guide for research purposes. This family may have been associated with that of plantation owner, Benjamin Parrott whose descendants lived in Greene county.

6. William Willie Parrott (Major2, Lee1) was born on 4 Nov 1924 in Greene Co., Georgia and died on 23 Feb 2003 in Union Point, Greene Co., Georgia, at age 78.
Notes: William ''Willie'' Parrott, 79, of 1321 Washington Highway, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003.
A native of Greensboro, Mr. Parrott was a son of the late Major and Lillie West Parrott. He worked for L&N Southern Railroad System and was a member of Holy Hill Baptist Church, Atlanta. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby Jackson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Union Point, with the Rev. Anthony Bryant officiating. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include six daughters, Prince Daniel, Mae Lillie Alexander, Jessie Swain, Eleanor Grimes, Dorothy Poole and Cora Parrott; seven sons, William Parrott, Louis Parrott, Johnny Parrott, Harry Parrott, Keiter Parrott, Precious Parrott and Tim Parrott; and 38 grandchildren.
The family is at the residence of Mae Lillie Alexander, 1031 Green Acres, Union Point, and will receive friends from 8-9 p.m. today at Watts Funeral Home.

A native of Greene County, Mr. Parrott was a son of the late Major and Lillie West Parrott. He was a member of Pierce A.M.E. Church and was retired from Sparta Furniture Manufacturing Co.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Pierce Chapel A.M.E. Church with the Revs. Johnnie L. Hunter and J. Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Kilpatrick Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Grady Mae Parrott; three daughters, Constance Lawrence, Christine Cook and Teresa Marshall, all of Atlanta; four sons, Herrin Parrott, Raymond Parrott and Orlando McBride, all of Atlanta, and Stanley Alexander; three brothers, William Parrott, James Parrott and Wright Parrott; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
